The 2nd Bay Area Overset Network (BAON2011) Symposium will be held at Stanford University's Li Ka Shing Center for Learning and Knowledge on September 8, 2011 from 8am to 5pm.
Statement of Intent
The local San Francisco Bay area symposium is intended to provide a networking opportunity for mathematicians, scientists, and engineers from the numerous academic, industrial, and government institutions in the Bay Area to learn about and discuss applications of overset CFD technology. The technical organization is informal, and only oral presentations are required. Work-in-progress talks by researchers new to the field are highly encouraged.
Symposium Goals
- Provide a forum for new practitioners of overset grid technology in the vicinity of the San Francisco bay area
- Communicate recent work, new research ideas, and work in progress
- Exchange ideas involving overset grid technologies, including unsteady and moving body problems, and emerging hybrid strategies
- Provide an opportunity for interaction between researchers, developers, and practitioners
